The Mindsets

3. The company’s success is my success

Leadership behavior: Collaborating

The success of PartnerRe reflects upon us all.

This mindset begins by deepening our awareness of our context in the broader organization, recognizing ourselves as part of a team, and working with others toward a common goal. By understanding the interdependencies and connections needed to solve problems, we are better able to build solutions with the bigger picture in mind.

Leaders who put the company’s success first, seeking shared goals over their own agenda, are more likely to collaborate effectively across teams or departments, more likely to find holistic, innovative solutions, and less likely to duplicate effort.

And, supporting others is a great way to find ourselves supported in turn, creating a positive feedback loop of success.
